Award-winning poet Jory Mickelson will lead a free poetry workshop, “You are Here: Writing About Nature.” The event is presented by River Arts and will take place at 411 Main Street at 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6.
In this welcoming and supportive workshop, participants will see how the tools of observation and imagination can help to write about our world. Through the reading of poems, trying some writing prompts, and lively discussion, participants will come away with new work and inspiration for writing about nature. No previous writing experience is necessary. This workshop is for adults and high school students serious about writing.
