This is the first night of the Wim Wenders Film Festival, running from April 10th – April 13th. Kings of the Road (1976) is a compelling, highly-praised examination of West German sentiments in the mid-seventies, during which time the Berlin Wall felt larger and more symbolic of its citizens’ conflicting feelings towards their country than ever. Film will be shown in German with English subtitles.
This festival is sponsored by the German Studies Department and curated by senior FMS major Ariella Ruben.
