Peregrine Rose Trio focuses on performing classical works written by living composers, seeking out engaging and relatable repertoire to create a moving and exciting experience for both the performers and audience. Featuring flutist Rose Johnson, clarinetist Lori Shepherd, and bassoonist Cassandra Bendickson, the trio came together during the 2020 lockdown to create music together from their respective cities in Washington state and Arizona, necessitating the use of many different technologies to bring them together over time and space. The fruits of this intensive simultaneous virtual collaboration have led to performances in Texas, Utah, Arizona, California, Colorado, Washington, and Mississippi as well as recordings on YouTube. Peregrine Rose Trio’s first studio album is set to release this year, featuring the music of Janet Grice, Mary Watkins, Alexandra Molnar-Suhajda, and more.
