In this Asia on the Palouse Speakers Series event, art historian Swosti R. Kayastha will introduce key moments in the development of the Buddhist art of Nepal. Prof. Kayastha is curator at the Nepal Art Council in Kathmandu and is currently a Fulbright visiting scholar at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco. Her visit to the University of Idaho is co-sponsored by the Fulbright Outreach Lecturing Fund, the Habib Institute for Asian Studies, and the College of Art and Architecture.
