NSEA Dakota Creek Tributary Planting Party

April 12 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Continue improving the riparian buffer along this Dakota Creek Tributary by planting trees and shrubs! Dakota Creek, located near Blaine, is home to Chinook, chum, and coho, as well as winter steelhead, bull trout, and cutthroat trout. The creek is a major tributary within the Drayton Harbor watershed, beginning in Canada and draining into Drayton Harbor.
NSEA has done restoration work along Dakota Creek since 1995, working to improve environmental concerns caused by commercial, agricultural, residential, and recreational development. Restoration along Dakota Creek not only impacts salmon habitat but also benefits the vital wetland and marine ecosystems of Drayton Harbor.
