Ladies Musical Club of Seattle Presents: Kana Funayama, marimba, and Sean Yang, piano, Winners of the 2024 National Frances Walton Competition

This free concert features two winners of the 2024 National Frances Walton Competition, sponsored by the Ladies Musical Club of Seattle, with special thanks to the Omak Performing Arts Center. Pianist Sean Yang and marimbist Kana Funayama display the extraordinary musical skills that helped them win the prestigious Frances Walton Competition. Bring the whole family and inspire your young, budding musicians!

About the Frances Walton Competition:
For more than thirty years, the LMC’s Frances Walton Competition has provided a unique opportunity for Classical musicians ages 20 to 35 to audition for an award package including generous cash prizes; a live performance on Classical KING FM 98.1, one of the premier classical music stations in the U.S.; and an outreach and recital tour of locations throughout Washington State.
