We invite you to join us at our first Evensong of the year, performed by Dr. Kraig Scott and his students. Evensong on the campus of Walla Walla University began in 1962 and takes place about eight times per year. Two teachers, professor of music Melvin K. West (organist) and professor of communications Loren Dickinson (reader) wanted to shape a service to mark the end of Sabbath. Because of this, the service changes time throughout the year to coincide with sunset. The meditative alternation of readings and music they created is beautiful, thoughtful, and unrelated to the Anglican service of the same name. We hope to see you there!
