If you haven’t heard of Denin Slage-Koch, it’s only a matter of time before you do – and when you do, you’ll understand why critics call his guitar playing “exceptional,” “exhilarating,” and “pristine.”
The young Richland native, now a faculty member at the University of Tennessee Natalie L. Haslam College of Music, has shared the stage with legends such as Danny Elfman, Kristin Chenoweth, Rudresh Mahanthappa, Ryan Keberle, and more, and has released three acclaimed studio recordings as a leader.
Slage-Koch’s unique compositions and inspired guitar work (influenced by everything from Van Halen to Miles Davis) have moved audiences around the country. For this annual homecoming performance at the Emerald, he reunites with fellow Tri-Citians Gavin Allen-Dunn, Jase Conley, and Matt Larsen to bring music that will inspire everyone from the headiest of guitar gurus to the most casual music fans.
