You are cordially invited to be part of a free
Walla Walla Valley Civility Project Café on
POLITICAL VIOLENCE TODAY
October 9, 2024
6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Walla Walla High School Commons
Join us in civil conversations about “The Acceptability of Political
Violence Today” and practice personal and community civility. Short
rounds of small group dialogues will be hosted in a café setting with
relaxing music and complimentary finger food and beverages. The goal is
for new learning and ideas to emerge from an evening of socializing and
communicating!
The dialogues pose several questions of real consequence to all of
us. One of those questions is, “Why does it matter or not to you whether
verbal and physical violence are considered acceptable?”
Our collective exploration of this and other questions promises to be
both interesting and illuminating! The results of these dialogues will be
captured and serve as an impetus for future planning efforts addressing
the goal of fostering civility in the Walla Walla area. Your active and
thoughtful participation in these conversations is very important to this
community endeavor.
The organization and facilitation of the evening are based on the
international successes of The World Café model to enhance civil
conversations.
