Step into the ancient Celtic rhythms of Céilí dancing in this free community event!
Kick off St. Patty’s Day weekend with some Céilí (pronounced “kay-lee”) dancing, a traditional form of Irish group dancing, during this free celebration on Friday, March 14, from 6:30-8:30 PM. Light refreshments will be provided, with alcoholic beverages for sale for those 21+.
For the past 6 weeks, the An Daire Academy of Irish Dance has been teaching students the basics of footwork, coordinating with a partner, and feeling the rhythm of traditional Celtic folk music. Céilí dancing is a social activity, so expect to laugh, dance, and connect in a supportive dance environment.
