The Oprah Effect: A Conversation with Black Women Media Trailblazers

In honor of February 8, 1986, the day Oprah became the first Black woman to host a nationally syndicated talk show, join NAAM for an inspiring panel discussion with Paris Jackson, the host of “Crosscut Now” on Cascade PBS, and Falesha Johnson, co-host of the “Rebirth of Life & Love” podcast. The discussion will celebrate the legacy of Black women in media and explore how they continue to trailblaze across platforms today. This inspiring event will highlight their journeys, challenges, and triumphs in shaping the future of media.
