Dafna Zur, Associate Professor of Korean Literature at Stanford University, will speak on her new research on the differing approaches to science and technology as seen in North and South Korean science fiction. Professor Zur is a recipient of South Korea’s Order of Cultural Merit for her contributions to the promotion of Korean language and literature. The talk is free and open to the public, in the Clearwater Room in the Idaho Student Union Building on the U of I campus, and is one in the Habib Institute for Asian Studies’ Asia on the Palouse Speakers Series.
