INTERESTED IN THE STATE OF DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION INITIATIVES IN KITTITAS COUNTY?

November 20 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The League of Women Voters of Kittitas County will host a panel discussion on the state of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in Kittitas County on Wednesday, November 20, 6pm, at the Odd Fellows Lodge, 307 N. Pine, Ellensburg.
The City of Ellensburg, Central Washington University and Kittitas Valley Healthcare have developed deliberate strategies to create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture within their organizations and the communities they serve. However, in recent months, corporations and university systems have experienced resistance to their DEI strategies as dozens of anti-DEI cases work their way through the courts and some state legislatures have become involved in limiting DEI efforts.

Join these panelists as they describe their organization’s DEI initiatives, goals and success of their programs, and the adjustments, if any, that have occurred in the wake of these emerging challenges.

• Michelle Wurl, Kittitas Valley Hospital Chief Public Relations Officer
• Philip Backlund, Ellensburg’s DEI Commission member
• Nancy Goodloe, Ellensburg City Council and DEI Commission member
• Tylene Carnell, Ellensburg DEI Commission member
A Q&A session will follow. The forum video will be available on the LWVKC YouTube Channel.
THE EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
