The Snake River Community Clinic in Lewiston is opening a new dental operating space to expand its services in the Lewis Clark Valley.

The clinic provides free medical, dental and behavioral health care for uninsured and under-insured people in the region.

The expansion is funded by a $35,000 donation from Delta Dental of Idaho.

It will provide panoramic digital imaging, and a sterilization station.

The new space will also allow dental providers to do routine checkup and cleanings, as well as X-rays, consults for crowns and denture referrals.

The clinic operates three days a week for most of the year.
