Gigi Yellen Retires
After more than 50 years behind the mic and 10 years at Northwest Public Broadcasting, Classical Music Host Gigi Yellen is retiring. Gigi’s last show will be September 27.
Over the years, Gigi has delighted afternoon and evening listeners with her warm and friendly demeanor, and meticulously crafted commentary on her chosen recordings. She has been a driving force behind projects such as Beethoven 250, Passing the Baton, and Music Moments, and she has been a mentor to up-and-coming music hosts.
NWPB invites you to tune in for two very special shows highlighting Gigi’s favorite pieces as we celebrate her long career. September 26 and 27, 8PM to midnight.
