How Temecula Wine Country is Staying Alive During Coronavirus

TEMECULA, CALIFORNIA- Temecula, California is a popular place that attracts tourists for one main thing, their wine country. On March fifteenth that quickly came to an end and wineries were shut down as they are not an essential business. Many wondered what would happen and how wineries would stay in business without people coming in to wine taste or sit and enjoy a glass. As I drove through wine country, I noticed that the roads were bare, parking lots were empty, music was shut off, and there was no one in the vineyards. Despite the struggles with COVID-19, wineries only closed their tasting rooms, they continued to open their ‘windows’ to those who wanted to stop by and safely get a bottle of wine to go. Although wine country may not currently be the same, they are doing their best to provide wine to those who need a pick me up.
