Online Classes, What’s Going On?
PULLMAN, WASH – Due to the recent spread of COVID-19, Washington State University has decided to move all campuses to online classes following Spring break. The purpose behind the move is to create social distancing in hopes to put an end to this illness.
The university has made its own website to provide updates about COVID-19 and President Kirk Schulz said that no decision has been made about Mom’s Weekend or graduation.
The University of Washington began online classes Monday for the same reason.
“Going online, so far, I feel like a lot of people think it’s going to be fun and games, but so far it really hasn’t. There’s a lot more assignments to prove that we’re actually participating and you’d think it’d be easier to then not go to lectures but not going to lectures you lose a lot of motivation to actually sit down and do the work,” Mackenzie Rippel said, a Freshman at UW.
It is important to note that there has been no timeline given for how long the online classes will last.
