Gonzaga Student Out $2,200 Amid Covid-19

PULLMAN, WASH. – Gonzaga student and military member Michael Schaffer should be on his way to Europe, but now his trip is canceled and he is out $2,200. 

Schaffer is in the process of earning his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and was planning to attend a conference with the International Therapy Association. Last week, he received an email from the Swiss government, canceling the conference due to Covid-19. 

The airline Schaffer was going to fly on canceled the flight and due to the fact Schaffer booked through a third party, he is currently unable to receive a refund.
