Investing goes Digital among Students

PULLMAN – The world of investing has gone digital. Multiple websites and apps have been developed in order to allow users to invest their money at the palm of their hands.

Online investing has allowed people to access information they otherwise wouldn’t be able to access, without going to a library. There are numerous reports on the stock market that are constantly being updated and changed.

Online investing also leads to lowers fees for investors because they don’t have to pay brokers or investment managers. In some cases, a person can invest as little as ten dollars because there is no minimum amount limit.

A well-known app, Robinhood, is popular among investors. On the app, one can track personal stock activity as well as monitor other companies’ stocks. The layout of the app makes it easy for first-time investors.

Here, at Washington State University, a club is in the process of being created for investors. First-Step Investment club will aim to help people who are looking to enter the world of investment.
