The Hanford Nuclear Site is in the news a lot. Recently, it’s been for contamination issues involving workers demolishing the Plutonium Finishing Plant.
Northwest News Network correspondent Anna King joined NWPB news manager Scott Leadingham to discuss the cleanup and other recent headlines involving Hanford and why it’s so important to Northwest news and the economy of the Tri Cities.
But Hanford isn’t the only news maker in south eastern Washington. Anna talks of another recent story of hers — following farmers concerned how the recent return of cold weather may affect their fruit harvest.
